Spinal Manipulation

The most commonly requested therapeutic procedure we preform is known as “spinal manipulation,” also called “chiropractic adjustment.” The point of this procedure is to restore joint mobility by applying chiropractic controlled force into joints that have become stiff or restricted of movement, usually as a result of a tissue injury.

These injuries can be caused by improper lifting of a heavy object, or through repetitive stress on your spine and joints, such as sitting in an awkward position with poor spinal posture for an extended period of time. The result is the same; your body can undergo physical and chemical changes that cause inflammation, pain, and reduced function. Manipulation, or adjustment of the affected areas, can often restore mobility and alleviate pain and tightness which can allow tissues to heal.
